Officials bribed with prostitutes
Securency International, a printing of money in Australia which is partly owned government, law enforcement found to provide prostitutes. It aims to streamline business with partners of foreign state officials.
Australian Federal Police (AFP) in Sydney, Monday (24/05/2010), claiming that agents are investigating whether used Securency International associated with foreign officials and ordered to pay bribes as well as providing prostitutes.
Anwar Ibrahim, Malaysia's opposition leader-in the Four Corners program on ABC TV Australia-expressed, there is a bid to provide a "guardian of Asian women" as a term for prostitutes to be provided to foreign officials.
"I find it difficult to understand how Securency International provides a huge amount of bribes in the so-called commission for the official currency of Malaysia," Anwar said.
AFP spokeswoman confirmed, it would fully investigate allegations of bribery by Australian companies. AFP does not mention the countries that bribed officials. However, Nigeria, Malaysia, and Vietnam is mentioned.
A former employee Securency International in a statement to the media says, he keeps a strong evidence of the existence of irregularities by the company.
An intermediary who hired Securency International confessed, in 2007 Securency bribe a central bank governor an Asian country that became his client.
Some Securency International shares owned by the Reserve Bank of Australia or Reserve Bank of Australia. Party Reserve Bank of Australia refused to comment on the allegations.
